Service Description

The sutra of the heart of transcendent knowledge or the “heart sutra”, is one of the most famous Buddhist texts and yet, one of the most misunderstood. It is full of paradox and seeming contradiction, yet it holds the possibility of awakening in this very moment to the true nature of our being. During this meditation retreat day, we will chant the sutra together and explore its meaning. The day will include meditation, short talks, group discussion and exploration of the relevance of this teaching to our everyday lives. Suggested donation of £50, which includes lunch, but please give more if you can afford to enable those who can’t to pay less.
